My Approach

A Space Built Around You

Shaped, paced, and grounded in safety.

A Space Built Around You

Healing happens in relationships — when we feel seen, understood, and safe enough to explore the experiences that have shaped us. That belief guides every session.

Therapy here is shaped around who you are, not a one-size-fits-all script.

Trauma-Informed & Emotionally Safe

Safety, trust, and choice are woven into every part of the relationship — not just the topics we discuss.

You're never pushed further than feels right. Emotional safety comes first, always.

EMDR & Whole-Person Approaches

The past affects the present even without our being aware of it.

Francine Shapiro, Ph.D.Founder of EMDR

Sessions draw on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as the foundation, integrated with attachment-focused, Parts-work, somatic, and dream work approaches — chosen based on what will genuinely support you.

Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, the work looks at the deeper patterns that developed as adaptive responses to life's challenges, helping your nervous system recognize that what was once necessary for survival may no longer be needed today.

EMDR is an evidenced-based treatment model, with dozens of clinical studies that validate its effectiveness.

Healing at Your Own Pace

There's no timeline to follow. We find the pace together, and it can shift as you do.

Some work moves quickly; some benefits from slowing down. Both are welcome here.

A Collaborative Process

You're the expert on your own life. Your feedback actively shapes the work, session by session.

This isn't about "fixing" you — because you are not broken. It's about creating the conditions where your brain and body can do what they were designed to do: heal.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.

Carl Rogers

Beyond Survival, Toward Thriving

Being traumatized means continuing to organize your life as if the trauma were still going on.

Bessel van der Kolk

For many clients, healing doesn't stop at symptom relief. Once the past no longer has such a powerful grip, there's room for something more.

The hope isn't simply that you leave survival mode behind, but that you reconnect with your own resilience, wisdom, and strength — and begin to expand, grow, and thrive.

If I just concentrate on the [symptom] and send her back to a life of quiet desperation, I wouldn't personally consider that good work… unless that's all she's willing to do… We want to identify what might need to be processed to help get this person to an actualized state. [EMDR is] not a disease model. We just don't want them to be limping along—we want them to be dancing.
